The Announcement Of The Elder Scrolls 6

Bethesda ended its E3 2018 press conference with the announcement of The Elder Scrolls 6, but stopped short of providing any concrete details about the game. However, we were shown a brief teaser trailer of a valley and some mountains near the coast, and while it may not seem like much, it may very well reveal where the upcoming game is set.

As hardcore Elder Scrolls fans will note, the landscape seen in The Elder Scrolls 6 teaser trailer at E3 2018 seems to best match the province of High Rock. High Rock, for the uninitiated, is a province mainly populated by Bretons located on the western coast of Tamriel. It’s on the opposite end of the map when compared to Morrowind, and shares its borders with the likes of Skyrim and Hammerfell.

While the scene from the teaser trailer does seem to match up well with descriptions and past appearances of High Rock, it’s still possible that The Elder Scrolls 6 is set somewhere else. In fact, the teaser trailer shown at E3 2018 may not even be a reliable indication of where The Elder Scrolls 6 is set, especially when one considers just how early in development the game is.

Since The Elder Scrolls 6 is still in the pre-production stages of development, there’s a chance that plans for it could change dramatically, and even if High Rock is the intended setting right now, it could be change later on. Furthermore, it’s possible that The Elder Scrolls 6 will encompass more provinces than just High Rock, potentially giving fans the chance to explore multiple provinces.
