That's because the ancestral home of the High Elves hasn't been seen since The Elder Scrolls: Arena way back in 1994. But Queen Ayrenn has decreed that Summerset is now open to foreigners, setting the stage for ESO's latest expansion.
But Summerset is under siege by the forces of darkness, which has caused the mysterious Psijic Order to come out of the shadows. As part of the latest expansion, players can join this precursor to the Mages Guild by venturing to the isle Artaeum and learn their powers and abilities. And yes, this even includes the ability to manipulate time. Artaeum is also home to a bulk of the expansion's new content, which is estimated at about 30 hours.
On top of that, Bethesda is looking to bring in new and returning players with a new tutorial and starter area, allowing newcomers to either kick their journey off with this story or any of the base ESO stories they may have missed. Veteran players, whether they've missed time or not, can jump in and find various level-appropriate quests to embark on. They can also check out the game's crafting system, which has been upgraded to include Jewelry Crafting with this latest expansion.
